About Orange 4×4

Orange 4×4 Ltd  is owned and run by self-confessed Land Rover enthusiast and off-road expert Tom Parkes.
​It builds on the continued success of 4×4 Adventure Tours ltd which has been running offroad and overland tours since 2010.
​
Tom’s obsession with Land Rovers started when he bought and re-built a 1960 Series 2 which had been used as a St John’s ambulance. Re-named Russell (the Rover), he drove it overland from Bristol to Cape Town in 2001.
Having trained and worked as a professional engineer, Tom is able to combine his off road expertise and engineering experience to provide unique solutions at Orange 4×4 ltd

Guiding 4×4 Tours has given us a unique insight into the operation and capabilities of 4×4 vehicles in real world situations. We have taken literally thousands of vehicles though some of the harshest terrain imaginable. Mud, water, sand, grit, dust, rocks, ruts, corragations, heat and cold – it all takes its toll.  What works, what doesn’t work, 4×4 systems, tyres, traction, reliabity issues, common problems, every type of  vehicle imaginable, we have seen it all.

Steve

Mechanic

Another self confessed Land Rover nut. Grew up in his Dads workshop with a spanner in his hand. Qualified as a mechanic aged 17, and now a qualified MOT tester.Steve has 13 years of experience on all types of vehicles. Great Diagnostic Skills, Spannering, Welding, Painting, No job to big or small.

Mechanic

Land Rover trained apprentice from back in the day when they still made real Land Rovers. Jason has years of experience as a fully trained Mechanic, MOT tester on all types of cars and vans and 4x4s but still has a passion for Land Rovers. Great Diagnostic Skills. Spannering and Welding
